CHALLENGE

Why the ready-to-use die-cast series mould is essential for your production

Enormous cost pressure

Only one thing counts for production: having a tool that is of high quality and stable in order to produce as many cast parts as possible before a new mould is required. And the whole thing has to be extremely economical, so that production remains as profitable as possible.

Tight schedule

It is difficult to find a mould maker who fully understands and follows the mould making process. This often results in the mould not meeting the specifications and the series production cannot start on time, which in turn means a considerable loss of time.

Additional costs before start of production

The interruption of ongoing series production for the sampling of the new mould not only costs a lot of time that you don't actually have, but also causes additional costs due to production downtime and tool transport.

The fact is that the economic challenges for OEMs and foundries are greater today than ever before

To be competitive as an OEM and foundry today, it is no longer enough,

differentiate themselves solely through the quality of the series parts produced.

The fact is: The Time and cost pressure is enormous.

This requires series production that not only produces high quantities, but also works economically. To achieve this, die-casting moulds are needed that are robust, fast and available at good conditions.

Some OEMs and foundries have succeeded in doing just that.

And that's not all: they were also able to optimise their production by outsourcing complex activities such as mould construction, sampling and quality assurance of the tools.

WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 1936. WE'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT'S POSSIBLE FOR YOU TOO.

SERVICE

Enjoy our exclusive service

We not only supply you with the right die-casting mould for your series production.
Find out how you can benefit from our special services.

We also support you on site worldwide

We want your production to run smoothly and function flawlessly. Therefore our experts will visit you on site, to work with you to set up the process and the tool correctly or to analyse and rectify technical faults during production. For our international customers is our local partner Consolidated Tool from the USA available.

Benefit from the expertise of a mould maker who has craft for over 80 years and has constantly expanded it. So that you receive the best possible moulds for your series production. To this end, we support you right from the engineering stage and analyse your casting down to the last detail in order to manufacture the 100 % suitable tool. We also sample and cast your die-casting mould on site in our Die Casting Technology Centre (DTC) to ensure the highest quality.

OEMs, foundries and mould makers often ask us whether they can sample their moulds on site at the DTC so that they do not have to interrupt their ongoing production. This option is available. In addition you can use our machines. In addition, our experts are on hand with their knowledge to advise you and assist you with implementation.

FALLSTUDIE

Frühzeitiger Produktionsstart durch schnelle Herstellung eines Kurbelgehäuses im Druckgussverfahren

The company

Ein renommierter Motorradhersteller

Ausgangssituation

FAQ

Do you have any questions?

This depends on the complexity, size and specifications of the die casting mould required. In approximately 95 % of cases, you can expect your mould to be available for the production of the first castings within 16-20 weeks. We will be happy to provide you with detailed information in an initial consultation.

We are able to produce a wide range of moulds of varying complexity and size with a clamping force of 550 to 4,400 tonnes. These include, for example, motors for cars, pumps for washing machines, but also structural components such as longitudinal and cross members.

Our work is roughly divided into these 2 areas: 1. the production and 2. the repair of tools.

  1. Our work begins with engineering. We subject your casting to a detailed analysis, improve castability, design the sprue and overflow system and use this as the basis for manufacturing a custom-fit die casting mould. On request, we are also happy to sample the mould in our own foundry.
  2. If parts of your series mould are worn or damaged, we repair them so that they can then be used again for your series production. If the mould can no longer be repaired, we will refit the interior. We also optimise existing moulds to extend their service life and improve the quality of the cast parts. After an in-depth analysis, we can tell you exactly which solution is best for you.
