CHALLENGE

Why the ready-to-use die-cast series mould is essential for your production

Series production was discontinued

You would like to restore or rebuild a vintage car or an old aeroplane. To do this, you need an original part that is 20 years old or more. However, as the component has not been in series production for years, you cannot simply buy it.

Search for spare part unsuccessful

Your previous search on the world market for the right spare part to reassemble the original part has so far been unsuccessful. You have already invested a lot of time and energy to find something at all, only to realise that it does not match the original 100 %. Your search starts all over again.

Foundries reject small orders

Although you have the old component or the original series mould, you cannot find a foundry willing to cast the replacement part for you. The reason: it is time-consuming and expensive work that is not profitable for them because they would have to interrupt ongoing production for the conversion.

Data material is not sufficient

As these are often components that are 20, 30 years or older, the corresponding original no longer exists - neither the component nor the series mould. There is, if at all, only a drawing, which often does not provide enough data to produce the original counterpart.

WE WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN MANUFACTURE THE COMPONENT FOR YOU TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL.

In just 3 retrotyping steps we bring back the we bring back the post-production part for you

Whether it's the obsolete physical component, the incomplete series mould or just the virtual 3D model of the casting - we design from what's there without any problems.

Step 1: Analysing the current situation

First analyse our engineering experts analyse the existing data material in detail. Depending on the complexity and effort involved, we determine the next steps in the production of the component.

FAQ

Do you have any questions?

The reproduction part that we reproduce for you has exactly the same properties as the original part. We carry out all the necessary reworking and quality checks to ensure that it fits 100 % in your classic car.

This depends on 2 factors: the existing data material and the complexity of the required component. In an initial consultation, we can tell you transparently whether retrotyping is worthwhile for your specific case and the desired quantity.

What data is available to you. Retrotyping does not necessarily require the old original part or the series mould. Even with a minimal database, such as a drawing, we can successfully reproduce the series discontinued model you require.
